A Fit Review of our Maxi Dresses and Jumpsuits for Tall Women
As part of our spring 2019 line, we’ve recently launched three new stylin’ jumpsuits & two new beautiful maxi dresses for all of you tall babes out there who struggle to find them long enough elsewhere!
This is the biggest launch of our private label we’ve done so far, and we’re super excited to be growing and introducing more & more new products that are designed with a better fit for tall women.
We wanted to do a round-up review of our products for those of you trying to get to know our brand, including fit feedback from our very own customers – tall ladies just like you - so that you get a better feel for which size and length in each style would work best in your closet!
For those of you who are new around here, we’re Amy and Alli - the founders & also the main models for Amalli Talli. We’ll let you know who is who under each product photo, but before we do that, we’ll give you our key measurements & other helpful information to assist with sizing!
Vernon Striped Jumpsuit
A majority of our customers agree that this style fits true to size. If you often find yourself between sizes (ex: sometimes you are a medium & sometimes you are a large), you might want to consider ordering the larger size based on feedback we have received from other “in-betweeners”. The Vernon comes in two tall inseam lengths – the “Alli” & the “Amy” length – which are the equivalent of a 34” and a 35/36” inseam, respectively. This is the shorter cut jumpsuit of the two, a more casual style jumpsuit intended to be worn with flats or a low heel. You really should know what your true inseam is before you order this style. If you’re not sure what your inseam is, check out how to get your measurement here. If long legs are your biggest shopping struggle, we highly recommend ordering the Amy length.

Palisades Jumpsuit
A majority of our customers agree that this style runs a bit large – consider ordering a size down from your normal. Even though it is made from 100% linen, the Palisades has a generous fit in the hips & in the butt… so don’t be scared of the no stretch factor. This is the longer cut jumpsuit of the two, a dressier style jumpsuit designed to be worn with heels. It is available in 35” or 37” inseams. We’ll be real real with you – this baby is LONG! We wanted to give women a chance to wear whatever shoes they wanted, or hem to their perfect desired length. You can always take away length, but you can’t add it – so why not take advantage of an extra long inseam?!

Bonita Maxi Dress
A majority of our customers agree that this style runs a bit large – consider ordering a size down from your normal. This is a great option for those of you who have a bigger bust… although as two ladies who aren’t that busty, we can confirm it works great for us, too! Please note that the top portion was designed with the intention to have more modest coverage (versus a deep v-neckline). The Bonita is available in two lengths – the “Alli” length or the “Amy” length. The “Alli” length is designed to work for women 5’10”- 6’1”, while the “Amy” length is designed to work for women 6’2” or above. If you are right in between, consider what type of shoe you will wear most with this dress. If you will mostly wear flats, we recommend the Alli – versus the Amy if you’ll be wearing heels.

Malibu Maxi Dress
A majority of our customers agree that this style runs a bit large – consider ordering a size down from your normal. This is an easy wear, comfortable fit. The dress was designed to have a blouse-y, drape-y fit on top. It’s another great option for those of you with a bigger bust. Like the Bonita, the Malibu also comes in the “Alli” or the “Amy length”. The Malibu is our best seller to date and wins the award for customer favorite!
